- 200 UROLOGISTS FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY PARTICIPATED IN THE CONFERENCE
- LIVE TELECAST OF SURGERIES DONE USING SUPINE PCNL, RIRS AND ULTRA MINI PCNL TECHNIQUES
Dehradun. 22nd April 2023. The First State Level Annual Conference of Uttarakhand Urological Society UKUSCON 2023 was organized on Saturday, 22nd April 2023. At this State Conference organized at Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences, 200 Urologists from all over India participated. Exponents of Urology who had come from all over India shared knowledge and experience on the modern models of treatment in Urology, modern methods of Urosurgeries and modern researches conducted world over on Urology. Senior Urologist of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital & Organizing Secretary of the Conference, Dr. Vimal Kumar Dixit informed that this is for the first time in the history of Uttarakhand state that renowned Urologists from all over India have gathered at one stage to dissipate knowledge, ideas, researches, skills and experiences on the discipline of Urology.
On Saturday, at the auditorium of Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences, the State Conference was inaugurated by Chief Guest & President-Elect, Urological Society of India, Dr. Lalit Shah, Guest of Honour & Secretary, Indian Medical Association, Dr. D.D. Chaudhari and Acting Principal, Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences, Dr. R.K. Verma. During the Conference, Live Telecast Operative Workshop was also organized. In the Live Operative Workshop, Live surgeries were performed by Senior Urologists via Supine PCNL, RIRS and Ultra Mini PCNL Techniques. With the demonstration of ultramodern techniques through Live surgeries, attendees got the benefits of learning insights of techniques, tips and tricks.
Organizing Chairman of the Conference, Dr. Vivek Vijjan while speaking over the occasion said that the objective of Conference and Live Surgeries performed during it was to acquaint all the participant urologists with ultra modern techniques of Urosurgeries. This will enable the urologists to learn these techniques and thus benefit the patients and serving the mankind.
Medical Superintendent of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Dr. Ajay Pandita also expressed his views at the conference.
In the Conference, the Urologists also explained the wide scope and application of the medical discipline to the young medical students studying MBBS and M.S. They motivated the medical students to opt for a super specialty in Urology highlighting it as a bright career option as well as an effective way to serve the humanity.
Significant roles were also played by President, Uttarakhand Urological Society, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Goyal, Secretary, Uttarakhand Urological Society, Dr. Ashwani Kandari, Treasurer, Uttarakhand Urological Society, Dr. Amar Kumar and Organizing Co-Chairman of Conference & HOD, Deptt. of Urology, Dr. Kamal Sharma in making the Conference a success. The occasion was also marked by the auspicious presence of the HODs of all the departments of Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences, Doctors, Faculty Members, Staff Members, and Medical Students.
