Dehradun. 17th October 2022. The Newly restructured furnished Dental wing of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital is completely ready for serving the society. The Dental Department of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital was established in the year 2002. Presently, the department has been restructured and equipped with modern machines and specialist services dedicated for the service of the society with extreme empathy and care.
On Monday, 17th October 2022, the Newly restructured Dental Department was inaugurated by the Principal, Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences, Dr. Yashbir Dewan. While addressing the gathering at the occasion, Dr. Yashbir Dewan said that the restructured and fully renovated Dental Department shall provide all the modern facilities catering to the needs of the dental patients. He said that all types of dental procedures will be available to the patients by the efficient specialist dentists under one roof.
The Medical Superintendent of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Dr. Ajay Pandita, while addressing the gathering, expressed that just like modern medical facilities available in other specialties of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, the Dental deptt. has too become extremely aesthetic as well as modernized with the addition of digital radiography (RVG) in the department. In this RVG technique, the X-ray of the teeth is done in which the risk of exposure to radiation is minimized.
On this event, HOD, Dental Department, Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Dr. Bhavna Malik additionally informed that the team of Dental Department of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital shall deal with all the diseased conditions of the teeth and jaws in all age groups.
Along with the general dental treatment, like cleaning of teeth (scaling), Root Canal Treatment, Cosmetic Dental Treatment is also available. The facility of operating on very young patients for example infants to adolescence are also provided. Treatment of Mouth Cancer, infections of the teeth, cyst and tumours of jaw, jaw joint problems can be dealt at the department. Besides this, treatment of injuries or fractures of teeth or jaw due to accidents is also available. The conditions such as gummy smile, ulcerations and pyorrhea will be done by specialists. The treatment of resorbed jaw bone will be done by grafting and flap surgery.
While addressing the staff, patients and their attendents at the occasion, HOD of Dental Deptt., Dr. Bhawna Malik confirmed that facilities like bone grafting, straightening of mal-aligned teeth (braces), Zirconia Cap, and affixing artificial teeth, complete dentures are also available.
