TALENTS OF STUDENTS HONOURED AT THE ANNUAL CULTURAL FEST OF SGRR MEDICAL COLLEGE

Dehradun. The Annual Cultural Fest of Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences ‘CHIASMA’ meaning ‘fusion’ was organized in fabulous colours. In the week long programme, students displayed their multiple talents in the various competitions organized. The winner participants were honoured with prizes. The students danced on the melodious rhythm of the beautiful songs till late in the evening.

 

On Friday, the programme was started by lamp lighting jointly by Principal, Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences, Dr. Yashbir Dewan, viec Principals Dr. Utkarsh Sharma, Dr. Puneet Ohri and Dr. Utkarsh Sharma. The Cultural Fest of SGRIM&HS has been organized since 2007 at the Medical College with unmatched zeal and enthusiasm. This gives them pleasant break from academic routine as well as provides them a unique platform to exhibit their extra curricular talents. Such multi tasking programmes develop strong bonds among the students to work, study and excel as a team. It also helps the faculty to understand them a a better manner. This year, the Cultural Fest ‘CHIASMA’ was organized from 28th May to 3rd June 2022. In the ‘Antakshari’ competition, MBBS 2018 BATCH emerged as victorious. In Face Painting, Sarti of MBBS 2018 Batch was the winner. In Pot Painting Aanchal Thakur , of MBBS 2020 Batch got the first position. In Doodle Painting, Drishti Saini of MBBS 2019 Batch was the winner. In both Sketching as well as Mehndi Making, Chanika of MBBS 2020 Batch was the winner. In Hindi debate on the topic, ‘Is India’s diversity it’s weakness’, Yatender Kaneria of MBBS 2018 Batch was the winner. In English debate on the topic ‘Mixopathy’ MBBS 2018 Batch was the winner. In Rangoli competition, MBBS 2019 Batch was the winner. In Treasure Hunt competition, MBBS 2018 Batch performed the best. In Origamy Paper Art competition, Sofia Saba of MBBS 2018 Batch emerged as victorious. In Cooking competition, students of MBBS 2018 Batch cooked the most delicious Indian food and emerged as victorious. In Skit competition, MBBS 2019 Batch was the winner. 

The programme was organized by the Cultural Committee of Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences with its President Dr. Nidhi Jain and Committee members Dr. Sheenam Azad, Dr. Tariq Masood Dr. Ashutosh Singh, Dr. Vani Sharma, Dr. Shalu Bawa Dr. Shah Alam, Dr. Reshmi Chanda Roy and senior students under the guidance of the Committee members.
